The Hydra is a 1:1 clone of the Catalinbread Naga Viper, which is essentially a clone of the Dallas Rangemaster, but with a few really nice tweaks:
- The amount of Treble can be adjusted with a Range control, rather than a fixed setting, which also makes it usable as a full range boost
- The Boost control does what the name implies
- The Heat control adjusts the gain of the transistor, which is not possible with the original
Again, simple and sleek brushed aluminum design and this time I've let my son choose the knobs and the color for the labels. :)
